Your wedding experience is all about you and how that all feels. Whether it's the day or a full weekend, my goal is to capture it in a way that genuinely reflects who you are, together.

To do that, I offer full-day or full-weekend coverage. I want to really get to know you, your family, and your friends. I want you to be fully present in the experience because when everything is said and done, photos are all that remains. I want to make sure that experience is reflected in your photos.

When it comes to my approach, I'm intentional. Terms like "documentary," "candid," and "editorial" are often used to describe wedding photography, but here's the thing — no two couples are the same, and that's what I love about what I do.

Your wedding day deserves to be captured in a way that feels most true to you. There's no one-size-fits-all approach — I'm all about creating honest images that reflect what's already there.

frequently asked questions

Do you travel?

what's your destination?

Yes, absolutely! Traveling fuels me like nothing else. I actually travel for about 75% of my weddings — love has taken me to Paris, Portugal, Ireland, Bali, Italy, Spain, and more! See where I'm traveling next here!

frequently asked questions

Who do you enjoy working with?

count me in

My work is all about trust, connection, and real moments. I love it when couples let me in so I can capture their true emotions. I focus on embracing feelings as they happen, and I hope to work with couples who value that honesty and let me capture them as they truly are.

frequently asked questions

Do you shoot both digital and film photography?

film please

Yes, I photograph weddings using a mix of both digital and film photography. Film allows me to slow down, while digital gives flexibility throughout the pace and unpredictability of a wedding day. Blending both allows your gallery to feel natural, emotional, and true to how the day actually felt.

frequently asked questions

Do you photograph elopements and intimate weddings?

shoot my elopement

Always. Some of my favorite days to document are the quieter, more intimate ones. Whether it’s an elopement in the mountains, a small destination wedding, or a celebration with only your closest people, I approach those moments with the same level of care and attention as any larger wedding weekend.

frequently asked questions

Can we add Super 8 film coverage?

super 8

Please do! Super 8 films can be added to weddings, elopements, and sessions. I love the nostalgic, imperfect nature of Super 8 and the way it preserves movement and emotion in such an honest way. It feels less like a traditional video and more like a memory you can step back into years later.

frequently asked questions

How far in advance should we book?

secure my date

Most couples book anywhere from 8–18 months in advance, especially for destination weddings and peak season dates. That said, I’m always open to hearing about your plans, even if your timeline is shorter. If it feels like the right fit, I’ll always do my best to make it work.

- madi & matt (Married in Durango, colorado)

"She is everywhere.

That's the first thing to know. She will manage to capture The Wonderful Thing Happening Right Here, even when you think she's off photographing The Other Moment of Joy Happening All The Way Over There. She bends spacetime, finding a way to do both.

The second thing: She is a world-class hang. You will no longer fear the camera. Your friends will beg her to do tequila shots at the afterparty. Your relatives will call her "charming" and "luminous," and want her to stay for the afterparty too.

The last thing: If you fully trust her, she will produce photos beyond imagination. She will capture your love in new and unexpected ways. She will exceed all expectations, even when you provide no reference material or shot list.

Getting married is like getting kicked in the head by a mule: You will almost certainly experience amnesia, blacking out three-quarters of your wedding day. The photos matter. It's a big responsibility, worth the investment, and there's nobody I'd trust more than Lexi Truesdale."

"Lexi was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From the very beginning, she was so easy to work with, super responsive, organized, and just genuinely excited for us. She made everything feel stress-free when it came to our photos and video.

We had Lexi with us for our week-long destination wedding, and she made everything feel so smooth and easy. We had no issues feeling relaxed with her and had so much fun while also staying on schedule. She fit right in with all of our friends and family.

We feel so lucky not only to have had her capture such an important day so beautifully, but also to have gained a friend in the process. Lexi is truly amazing at what she does, and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone without hesitation."

"It’s undeniable that the quality of Lexi’s work speaks for itself, but the pleasure of working with Lexi is something that can only be experienced. Having had the opportunity to work with her for our DC wedding, I am here to say that experience is something you cannot put a price on. Our wedding day was more memorable, intentional, and enjoyable with Lexi there as our photographer. Lexi is completely committed to her clients and she shows up not just for herself to produce a great product, but more importantly — for you. She has this amazing gift of making you feel so beautiful, so energized, and so in the moment that you’re never worried about how the photos will turn out. I’ve been part of weddings where the photographers are on auto pilot, simply going through the motions and giving you exactly what they give everyone else and that is not how Lexi operates. She works with you well before the wedding day to understand what’s most important to you and she integrates herself seamlessly to capture the moments that matter most. I am constantly looking back at our wedding day photos and am in awe every single time. They turned out stunning, better than I ever could have imagined. Beyond the photos, Lexi brought so much pure joy and lightness to our day and I’m so grateful that we had the opportunity to work with Lexi and to get to know her. She’s an incredible human inside and out and my husband and I truly cherish the memories from our wedding day with our friends and family, and of course, with Lexi. TBH — we did not have the luxury of have a huge wedding budget, but we made the choice to invest in photography and Lexi was worth every single penny and then some. Best decision ever. Thank you for everything Lexi, it was truly an honor to work with you."
